The
members of the Technical Committee responsible for the selection of the
works submitted to the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress –the main
theme of which is “The Family: Basis for the Integral Development of
Children and Adolescents– met at 11:00 AM on October 8, 2004 at the
headquarters of the Inter-American Children’s Institute, Av. 8 de
Octubre No. 2904 in the city of Montevideo, Republic of Uruguay. The
meeting was attended by Mr. Alejandro Bonasso, Director General of the IIN
and Chairman of the Committee; the General Coordinator of the Congress on
behalf of the IIN, Julio Rosenblatt; the Coordinator of the IIN Legal
Program, Piero Solari, and the Coordinator of the IIN Program for the
Integral Promotion of Children’s Rights, Gustavo Forselledo. The main
purpose of the meeting was to set forth the final list of winners who will
deliver their presentations at the Pan American Child Congress. Pursuant
to the outcome of the selection process, the winners who will deliver
their presentations at the Nineteenth Pan American Child Congress, the
main theme of which is “The Family: Basis for the Integral Development
of Children and Adolescents, are: GROUP

Adolescents, wishes to place on record that the quality of most submitted
works has not reached the expected academic level. The
Technical Committee hereby agrees to inform the Administration of the
Inter-American Institute accordingly, for the implementation of the
relevant proceedings as provided for in the terms and conditions
concerning the travel and stay of the winners mentioned in this Act, as
well as any other required coordination and steps to be taken. Reviewed
and signed on the eighth day of October, 2004.
