XIX PAN AMERICAN CHILD CONGRESS

The XIX Pan American Child Congress will be held in Mexico City on 27-29 October, 2004. As provided for in the IIN Statute, the Pan American Child Congress is one of the Institute's major bodies. 

Who may participate in the Congress:

The official delegations of the 34 Member countries of the Organization of American States, duly accredited and entitled to speak and vote (one vote per country).

Governmental, non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations associated to the IIN, entitled to speak but not to vote.

Other organizations and individuals who may have or not submitted proposals to the Organizing Committee of the XIX Pan American Child Congress (iin@oas.org; iinastec@redfacil.com.uy)

Languages:

As provided for in the Regulations of the XIX Pan American Child Congress, the Delegates' Plenary Sessions where official delegations participate with a right to speak and vote will count on simultaneous interpretation into the four OAS official languages (Spanish, French, English and Portuguese). The Working Groups will operate as per a different system. Whoever delivers a selected presentation will do so in his/her native language. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided for questions and answers, but in all cases there will be interpretation into English available at the Chair.
